BrandGuard monitors 100+ automatically generated variations of your domain: typosquatting (one-char adds/deletes/transpositions), TLD swaps (.net, .org, .io, .co, .app, and more), homoglyph substitutions, and brand-squatting combos with common words like login, secure, verify, support, and official.
How quickly will I be alerted? ▼
BrandGuard runs daily at 7:00 AM UTC. If a new lookalike domain goes live overnight, you'll know by morning. For domains that turn up phishing content, alerts are sent the same day as detection.
What do I do when a suspicious domain is found? ▼
Your alert email includes the registrar information and suggested next steps: take a screenshot → file a UDRP complaint with ICANN → submit an abuse report to the registrar → consider a DMCA takedown if your content is being copied. For active phishing, also report to Google Safe Browsing and Netcraft.
Does BrandGuard take domains down for me? ▼
Not automatically — takedowns require legal processes that vary by registrar and jurisdiction. BrandGuard detects the threat and gives you everything you need to act fast. We include the domain, registrar, and step-by-step takedown guidance in every alert.
Can I monitor multiple domains? ▼
Each BrandGuard subscription covers one domain at $14/mo. For multiple domains, sign up once per domain. MSP customers on the EdgeIQ MSP Essentials plan get BrandGuard bundled for all 10 client seats.
Will I get false positives? ▼
Registered-but-inactive domains (parked pages) are flagged as "Registered" — not as threats. Only domains actively serving content with phishing indicators are flagged "Suspicious." You can always review the full list in your weekly summary to decide what to act on.
How do I cancel? ▼
Log in to your EdgeIQ account, navigate to BrandGuard, and click Cancel Subscription. You can also email [email protected] and we'll cancel within one business day.
